Spring game-breakers: East Lake converted two Osceola fumbles into touchdowns as the Eagles built a 28-0 lead. …Both teams combined for 21 points in the last half minute of the second quarter. …Osceola quarterback Andrew Matyk put his team on the board with 30 seconds left in the first half, connecting with Cody Lighthiser for a 24-yard touchdown. …The Eagles responded with a 90-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Artavis Scott. …Osceola answered right back as Warriors sophomore Liddell Golden took the ensuing kickoff 99 yards into the end zone. …Golden did not play in the second half due to cramps. …East Lake’s varsity team rushed for 159 yards in the first three quarters. …Both the Eagles and Warriors played their junior varsity teams in the fourth quarter. …East Lake quarterback Pete DiNovo completed 6-of-10 for 153 yards and two touchdowns.

Did you know? East Lake was missing six defensive starters for the game. Warriors offensive lineman Ryan Fetner was hurt in the first quarter and taken to the hospital. Osceola coach George Palmer was not aware of his status at game’s end.
