Spring jamboree at Sunlake

At Sunlake
Sunlake 21, Wiregrass Ranch 3
Sunlake 10, Wesley Chapel 0
Wesley Chapel 20, Wiregrass Ranch 7

Spring game-breakers: As expected, host Sunlake was the big winner Friday night, coming up with two victories in shortened games thanks in large part to an offensive line that overcame the loss of four starters. Returner Aaron Protch anchored the unit up front with She’ron Wilkins and Travis Manecke earning praise from coach Bill Browning …Special teams came up big for Wiregrass Ranch, which got an 84-yard kickoff return from Ricardo Williams against Sunlake and a 95-yard touchdown return on a kickoff by Tyre Creary …After being shut out against the Seahawks, the Wildcats capitalized on three turnovers in their win over the Bulls. Ty Tanner and Troy Cothran each threw scoring passes for Wesley Chapel with Chris Ayers hauling in one scoring pass and setting up Deyon Cox’s touchdown reception with an interception.
