Springstead boys take Hernando County golf title

Springstead’s boys golf team earned its fourth consecutive Hernando County championship with an eight-stroke win over Hernando on Monday at Sherman Hills Golf Course.

Junior Ryan Nicoll had the day’s best round – a one-under 71 – and senior captain Anthony Fiocca placed fourth to help the Eagles (336) beat Hernando (344), Nature Coast, Central and Weeki Wachee.
