After going back and forth between Campbellsville (Ky.) University and Limestone (S.C.) College over the past few weeks, the reigning Class 2A champion at 152 pounds has signed his letter of intent to wrestle collegiately for the Saints at Limestone next season.
Shawn Landgraff, the top-ranked 152-pound senior in the state, has met with Saints coach Trent Goodale and plans on joining the strong Division II program in the fall according to Springstead coach Eric Swensen and his father Shane Landgraff.
Landgraff was bound and determined to follow up a disappointing junior season, in which he finished third at state, with a better showing this past season. He did so when he became one of five Eagles to come home with gold medals as part of Springstead's first-ever state championship team.
