Springstead senior setter Allyson Schillinger has verbally committed to play volleyball at Division II Philadelphia University, her club coach, Doug Chinchar said Thursday morning.
Schillinger was one of the key players for the Eagles and helped Springstead advance to the Class 6A region semifinals before losing to Gainesville.
Two other recruiting updates from Springstead:
Middle hitter Megan Morrison will take her official visit to Alaska-Fairbanks in two weeks. She committed to the Division II school in the fall. Morrison was an all-North Suncoast selection.
Middle hitter Zoe Mannino took an official visit to St. Francis College in Brooklyn. The school is a Division I program and plays in the Northeast Conference.
