St Petersburg Catholic named Samantha Mooren the boys and girls swim coach.

Mooren, a UCF alum, was a four-year letter winner at St. Petersburg, where she competed at the state level. She replaces Kristen Nardozzi, who left to become the coach at St. Petersburg.

This is Mooren's first stint as a high school coach after spending the past few years as an instructor with the St. Petersburg Aquatics organization.

"We feel very fortunate to find someone of Samantha's caliber to lead our swimming team,” Barons athletic director Mike Moran said. “She comes highly recommended and is extremely excited to get started".
