If Reilly Gibbons was a step too slow as a tight end according to some, his move to left tackle is turning out to be a step in the right direction.

The St. Petersburg Catholic pass catcher turned blocker picked up his second offer this week, as USF made it official Tuesday afternoon by entering into the contest for the 6-foot-6, 250-pound Baron.

It is Gibbons second offer this week, coming a day after San Diego State offered the rising junior. And both offers come on the heels of his debut at left tackle Friday against Indian Rocks Christian. Though the smaller Golden Eagles were hardly a match for the imposing Gibbons, the Baron was impressive and did what many thought he would once he migrated to his new spot on the line.
