St. Petersburg offensive tackle Chris McCrea has committed to Alcorn State, according to coach Joe Fabrizio. McCrea (6-foot-5, 280) has been a starter for the Green Devils for two seasons.

McCrea was a standout on a St. Petersburg offensive line that helped gain more than 2,000 yards rushing and had a 1,000-yard back, Deangelo Reaves (1,150 yards).

Alcorn State was 9-3 in 2013, 7-2 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
