St. Petersburg tight end Jeremy Kerr got an offer from Miami while attending the Hurricanes’ spring game on Saturday.

It is the first offer for Kerr, a 6-foot-6, 245-pound junior who will be one of the area’s most recruited tight ends.

Kerr did not catch many passes last year due in part to the Green Devils penchant for running the ball. But he shines as a blocker and should become more of a target in the passing game this season.
