Sunlake quarterback Dayton Feiden and left guard Logan Berryman are out for the season after injuries sustained in Friday’s 20-3 victory over Mitchell.

Feiden underwent an MRI exam Monday and will have surgery for a torn ACL by the end of next week. Berryman sustained a broken ankle.

“Friday night the score was good, but we lost a couple key members of our offense,” coach Bill Browning said of the Class 6A, District 6 victory.

Senior Esteban LeWallen will start at quarterback Friday for the Seahawks (5-1, 1-1) against Wesley Chapel. Kalon Gipson will start at left guard.

“They guys have been practicing all season, and they’re going to have to come through,” Browning said.
