Swimming: Tampa Prep's Emily Carideo commits to Siena

Emily Carideo, a two-time member of the Times' Hillsborough all-county swim team, committed to Siena College, Tampa Prep coach Jason Bowes confirmed Monday.

Carideo, right,  was on the Terrapins' third-place 400 free relay team, which swam an All-American consideration time  of 3:31.77 at the Class A state meet in November. In her individual events at the state meet, she finished 13th in the 500 free and 14th in the 200 IM. She won both of those events earlier in the season at the Class A, District 7 meet.
