Tampa Bay Tech center Erica Young has orally committed to Kansas State, her coach said Monday night.

Young, a 6-foot-3 senior, averaged 20.1 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.1 blocks a game for the Titans last season.

She was a Times’ first-team all-county selection last year and led the Titans to a 23-3 record, the Class 7A, District 8 title and into the regional quarterfinals.

Young has been a local standout since her freshman year, when she burst onto the scene at Blake and averaged 14.2 points per game. She transferred to Tampa Bay Tech for her sophomore year.
