Tampa Catholic left tackle Corey Martinez has been invited to the U.S. Army National Combine, according to head coach Bob Henriquez.
Martinez, only a sophomore, will travel to San Antonio, Texas, in January to go through a series of tests and drills designed to test strength and athleticism. All combine attendees will also attend the U.S. Army All-American bowl and watch the top high school seniors compete on Jan. 7.
The 6-foot-4, 305-pound Martinez, who said previously that Florida State is his dream school, has taken unofficial visits to see the Seminoles and the Florida Gators.
