Tampa Catholic junior guard Meghan Keough scored her 1,000th career point Saturday in the Crusaders' 52-38 victory at Orlando Bishop Moore.

Keough, a Land O' Lakes transfer, finished the game with 12 points.

She becomes the second TC player to reach the 1,000-point milestone this week. Senior forward Sarah Brennan reached the mark on Wednesday. Tampa Catholic senior Colette Eule became a 1,000-point scorer last year as a junior.

A 5-foot-8 point guard, Keough is averaging 14.6 points, 3.6 steals, 2.3 assists and 2.0 rebounds a game. Last season at Land O' Lakes, she averaged averaged 20.8 points and 8.4 rebounds and was a Times All-North Suncoast first-team selection.

Keough, Eule (17.6), Brennan (14.6) and sophomore guard Micah Kroll (10.1) are all averaging doubles figures for a Tampa Catholic team that came into Saturday averaging just under 73 points a game. Last season, the Crusaders averaged 69.1 points a game en route to the Class 3A state semifinals -- the first state appearance in program history.

With the win, the Crusaders improved to 7-1.
