The boys Class A state soccer title match between defending champion Tampa Prep and Scheck Hillel Community of North Miami Beach now will be played Thursday at 5:05 p.m. at Melbourne High, the Florida High School Athletic Association announced today.

The game originally was scheduled for Friday afternoon, which created a conflict with the Jewish Sabbath observance.

"Due to Hillel being a Jewish school, they could not play after 3 on Friday or until after 8 on Saturday," FHSAA spokesman Corey Sobers said. "Thursday was the only option that worked for both schools and the host school."

"And we're completely fine with that," Terrapins athletic director Mike Flynn said.

Admission to Thursday's match is $9. Parking is $5.
