Tarpon Springs three-year starter' Demetri Zervos made his college decision official Wednesday, telling the Times via e-mail that he committed to play soccer for North Florida.
Zervos, a junior forward/midfielder and member of the Florida Olympic Development program, was the first commitment of North Florida's 2013 class. As a sophomore for the Spongers, Zervos tallied seven goals and seven assists through 13 games.
Zervos, who also plays club soccer for Tampa Bay United, decided on North Florida over schools like High Point, Marshall, Presbyterian and Winthrop.
