Tarpon Springs receiver Dondre Daley committed to Iowa State on Tuesday, Spongers coach Ron Hawn said via text.
Daley, who transferred from Anclote over the summer, had a breakthrough season in which he had 42 receptions for 684 yards and 10 touchdowns. That got the attention of some colleges with Daley receiving offers from Gardner-Webb, Iowa State and Southern and getting interest from Nevada. Daley visited Iowa State this past Friday when the Cyclones upset Oklahoma State.
Iowa State has had success landing players from Pinellas County with former standouts Jeremiah George (Clearwater), Leonard Johnson (Largo) and Jarvis West (Gibbs) currently on the Cyclones roster.
