Ethan Lichtenberg, a rising senior at Tarpon Springs, has orally committed to play baseball at Saint Leo. Lichtenberg was a right-handed reliever for the Spongers last season. He recorded 27 strikeouts and had a 1.75 ERA in 20 innings.
Lichtenberg turned heads playing in Perfect Game summer league tournaments. He was named to three all-tournament teams as a pitcher.
Lichtenberg will likely be used as a starter in his senior season with Tarpon Springs. At Saint Leo, he will join former teammate and Times' Picher of the Year Michael Dunnigan.
