Tampa Bay Tech DB Devaun Stephens, a senior, has signed with Peru (Neb.) State College, Titans head coach Jayson Roberts said.

Stephens (5-foot-10, 170 pounds) recorded 33 total tackles last season for TBT (8-4), an average of 4.1 per game. He also intercepted a pass in the Titans' 17-14 win over Gaither on Nov. 4 that sealed their third consecutive district title. TBT lost the rematch to Gaither three weeks later, by an identical 17-14 score.

Stephens is the sixth Titans player from the class of 2012 to sign with a school, joining CB Armani Sampson (Jacksonville University)  DL Kadesh Reaves (New Mexico Military Institute), OL Kilu Fontaine (Tennessee State),  DL Andrew Green (Stetson) and RB Lamarq Caldwell (FIU). Peru State is an NAIA school with approximately 2,000 students.
