Tampa Bay Tech defensive back Jerome Speights finished his official visits this past weekend with a trip to Western Kentucky. Upon his return to Tampa, the three-year starter for the Titans committed to the Hilltoppers.

Titans coach CC Culpepper said Speights faced a tough choice between WKU, New Mexico and Middle Tennessee State, but in the end Western Kentucky's facilities and the opportunity to play right away were the difference makers.

Speights also made an official visit to Michigan State.

TBT is expected to sign at least three Division I recruits on Wednesday. Running back Maurice Hagens has long been committed to Miami and linebacker Greg Hickman has committed to FIU. Linebacker Sam Jones is headed to Grand Rapids (Mich.) Community College and Culpepper said defensive tackle Mark Grant and cornerback Derrick McCray are receiving Division I-AA looks that could lead to offers over the next few days.
