Former longtime Tampa Catholic athletic director/coach Nick DiMaggio and the Crusaders' 1976 state championship slow-pitch softball team are among the 2012 inductees into the school's Athletic Hall of Fame.

The school announced the latest honorees in a release Tuesday. Hall of Fame nominees are solicited from the TC community and selected by a committee of current and former school administrators and alumni. The Class of 2012 will be formally inducted Aug. 4 at a dinner at the school gymnasium. Tickets are $30 each and can be purchased online at www.tampacatholic.org.

The Class of 2012: DiMaggio, Julius Storch (baseball, Class of '71), Marty Garcia (baseball, '77), Yolie Espino-Fielder (softball and volleyball, '76), Bill Staunko (football and former coach, '70), Tommy Jones (basketball, '82) and the '76 softball team coached by Sherry Schaibly. Storch is being inducted posthumously.
