Tampa Catholic senior basketball player Lashawn Harrison scored his 1,000th career point over the holiday break in the City of Tampa Tournament, Crusaders coach Don Dziagwa announced.

Harrison, the 21st Tampa Catholic boys hoops player to reach the mark, was honored in a ceremony before Wednesday's home game against SPC.

The 6-foot, 165-pound Harrison is averaging 20.0 points a game, along with a team-high 3.7 assists and 3.5 steals. He's scored 20 or more points eight times for the Crusaders (12-3).

Harrison currently has 1,147 career points, ranking him 17th on the school list behind Matt Dziagwa (1,175).
