In the recent days leading up to the U.S. Army All-America Game in San Antonio, Tampa Catholic senior quarterback Christian Green has impressed experts during practice this week.

Rivals.com, which helped select players for the game, which will be played Saturday at the Alamodome and broadcast live on NBC, has listed Green, who is playing for the East team and practicing as a wide receiver (his likely position in college), as one of the East team's top 10 stars on each of the first three days of practice. Rivals.com has applauded Green's route running and his ability to create yards after the catch.

"He showed great speed and a knack for the big play," Rivals.com recruiting analyst Barton Simmons wrote Wednesday. "He's a big reason why the East squad should have viewers holding their breath on nearly every play."

Meanwhile, Tampa Catholic junior fullback/linebacker Hunter Joyer has arrived in San Antonio for the U.S. Army combine, and Alonso defensive end Anthony Chickillo is on his way.
