Shorecrest senior Alex Saltiel will play tennis at Columbia University in New York City.

Saltiel has been a standout at Shorecrest since his freshman year. He missed his sophomore season due to a viral infection, but was a Times' all-county selection in 2011.

Saltiel has also excelled on the Florida junior circuit. As a student, he has a 4.7 GPA and a 35 score on his ACT.
