Tampa Prep 6-foot-9 freshman Juwan Durham, who averaged nearly a double-double (14 points, nine rebounds) for the 27-3 Terrapins this past season, is a second-team pick on the MaxPreps 2012-13 Freshman All-American Team.

Durham is the only Florida representative on the 26-player team.

A Tampa native who arrived at Tampa Prep from nearby Wilson Middle School, Durham led the Terps in scoring, rebounding and blocks (2.5 per game) this past season. He is one of only a handful of freshman to start from Day One in Coach Joe Fenlon's 30-year tenure, joining a fraternity that includes Casey Sanders (Duke), Devontae Morgan (Butler) and David Waller (Amhert College).

Durham already has a number of college offers, Fenlon said.
