Fresh off his visit to the University of Georgia, Hillsborough defensive back Terrence Mitchell now is set to check out Knoxville.
Terriers coach Earl Garcia confirmed Tuesday that Mitchell will make an official visit to the University of Tennessee on Halloween weekend.
"If I were a betting man, I'd say his five (finalists) are South Florida, Tennessee obviously, Georgia obviously, the University of North Carolina and Florida State," Garcia said.
A three-way player for the Terriers, Mitchell has 22 tackles and three pass deflections at safety, a blocked punt, blocked field goal and 22-yard kick-return average on special teams, and six catches for 197 yards and two TDs at receiver. He's being recruited mainly as a cornerback.
