Tevin Drake was being patient. The Miami Hurricanes apparently weren’t willing to follow suit.
It cost Drake a scholarship offer.
Earlier this year, Miami offered the 6-foot, 205-pound senior tailback for Nature Coast Tech, but the Hurricanes recently withdrew it.
"They wanted me to commit," Drake said. "They took (the offer) away. They're looking at other running backs, and I think they were like, 'Well, he hasn't committed yet and probably doesn't want to.' I kind of regret (not committing) now. That was my No. 1 school."
