Wesley Chapel junior forward Erik Thomas continued his monster season Tuesday night by setting a school record in rebounding.
He grabbed 25 boards in the Wildcats’ 59-45 win over Gulf to break the school’s single-game rebounding record. The previous mark was 23, set by Saladeem Dewberry against Pasco in 2006.
Thomas, who had a 22-rebound performance earlier this season, has 289 boards this season – the second best total in school history.
The 6-foot-4 Thomas leads the Wildcats in scoring (20.8 points per game) and rebounding (13.8 per game).
