Three members of Sickles' nationally-ranked 2010 soccer team -- midfielders Boris Simeunovic and Joey Ltief and goalkeeper Brandon Stout -- will sign with Polk County-based colleges Wednesday, Gryphons athletic director Ken Lombardia announced.
Simeunovic, a Times first-team all-county pick last season, will sign with Division II Florida Southern in Lakeland. Ltief and Stout will sign with NAIA Webber International in Babson Park.
Simeunovic ranked first in goals (17) and second in assists (12) for the Gryphons (23-2-3), who came within a penalty-kick round of the state tournament and were ranked as high as 15th in the ESPN Rise Fab 50.
Ltief finished the season with eight goals and eight assists. Stout, also a Times first-team all-county choice, gave up one regulation goal in three playoff games, stopping six of seven penalty kicks in one postseason stretch.
