Alonso DE Anthony Chickillo, a rising senior, has had a memorable week when it comes to earning scholarship offers.
Florida, Florida State and Wake Forest each pulled the trigger.
“It’s cool,” Chickillo said. “Since I was little, I’ve followed Florida State and Florida. They’re two great programs. Florida State is up and rising and Florida is at the top. It’s exciting they want me to be part of their team.”
They aren’t alone.
Miami, Florida International, Purdue and UCF also have offered.
And …
“I think a Notre Dame offer could be coming soon,” the 6-foot-4, 230-pound Chickillo said.
Chickillo is open to all schools right now, he said.
When asked what programs he’d like to get offers from, he mentioned Oklahoma, Penn State and Texas.
“Those are schools that I like,” Chickillo said.
Chickillo will take part in Florida’s junior day this weekend, and Florida State’s the next.
He had 80 tackles with 12.5 sacks last season in only six games.
