Three Zephyrhills gridiron standouts sign with Pikeville

Pikeville College in Pikeville, Ky., picked up three players from Zephyrhills High during the spring recruiting season.

OL/DT Stephen Cottrell, LB Frank Morrison and OL John Dodd all signed with the NAIA program on Thursday.

Cottrell starred on the Bulldogs' offensive line and was selected to the All-Sunshine Athletic Conference second team. Morrison was an all-SAC third team pick at linebacker and also earned honorable mention status on the St. Petersburg Times' All-North Suncoast team. Dodd was a standout on the line for Zephyrhills.
