A couple quick recruiting nuggets on Thursday morning, now that the dead period of recruiting has ended:

Gaither DB Amani Oruwariye announced that he has reopened his recruitment. The three-star senior was a Vanderbilt commit but recently received an offer from Penn State – now led by ex-Vandy coach James Franklin. USF and UCF are among the other schools that have recruited Oruwariye.

Jefferson ATH Deiondre Porter has also reopened his recruiting process, he announced on Twitter. The now-former USF pledge was the Times' all-Suncoast offensive player of the year this season and has landed recent offers from Florida and Miami.

Jesuit LB Vincent Jackson said via Twitter that he expects to receive in-home visits from Missouri and Virginia today.

Wiregrass Ranch LB Christian Borak claimed his first offer yesterday, from Ave Maria University.

Weeki Wachee S Tyler Wiley landed his first offer Thursday, from Norfolk State, Hornets coach Mark Lee said. Wiley is a converted basketball player and one of the North Suncoast's sleeper prospects.

Hernando LB Jeremiah Jackson - the Times' North Suncoast defensive player of the year - added an offer from Ball State, per Ricky Sailor of Unsigned Preps. Jackson had also been recruited by UMass and Purdue, among others.

In news for the class of 2015, East Lake's five-star athlete, George Campbell, claimed offers from Alabama and Mizzou. Pitt became the latest program to offer Pasco TE/DE Bowman Archibald, who also holds offers from Florida, Tennessee and USF, among others.
