Jesuit quarterback Bobby Eveld will be without his top target for Friday night's showdown against rival Tampa Catholic.
Senior wideout Ben Gutowski, whose 27 receptions lead the Tigers, is expected to miss the remainder of the season with mononucleosis, Coach Joe Ross confirmed Thursday morning. Gutowskis has 433 yards and five touchdowns.
"It's just horrible," Ross said.
Fortunately for Ross, receiver is the one position where the Tigers possess depth. Three other players -- Bryce Walker, Travis Johnson and Will Schaefer -- have at least 17 catches.
