Two big ones for Alex Dixon: Florida and Tennessee

Alex Dixon has had as busy a spring as anyone, but his best day may have come Wednesday when the rising senior defensive back picked up scholarship offers from Southeastern Conference powerhouses Florida and Tennessee.

The Florida offer was made over the phone, Dixon said.

Dixon (6-1, 180) has more than a dozen offers and is the most highly sought defensive back in Tampa Bay.
