Todd Shorter, one of the Countryside football team’s most valuable players last fall, has two schools at the top right now -- Illinois State and Wofford.

Both are Division I-AA programs.

He has scholarship offers from each.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound Shorter caught 35 passes for 555 yards and four TDs as a senior. He also was an outstanding DB, and that’s likely where he will play in college, Countryside coach John Davis predicted.

Shorter is expected to visit both schools soon.
