Countryside receiver Joe Ganci and offensive lineman Jake Smith made their college choices official over the weekend.

Ganci, who committed to Georgetown, played well down the stretch and helped the Cougars make the transition at quarterback midseason from Christian Strong to Robby Hicks.

Smith picked Minot State, where he’ll reunite with former Cougars teammate Jeff Albert. Smith was part of a veteran offensive line that was ranked as one of the best in the bay area.

Ganci and Smith are among six Countryside seniors who will sign Wednesday at 9 a.m. in the school’s media center. The others are Mike Love (USF), Ryan Pandy (Lehigh), Brandon Pertile (Georgia State) and AJ Sattinger (Coastal Carolina).
