With each scholarship offer, Leto rising senior TB Andre Simpson validates the notion that if you're good enough, colleges will find you.
Simpson, whose team hasn't won a game on the field since 2010, has received his second offer of the spring, this one from Ball State, Falcons coach Matt Kitchie reported. Simpson (6-foot-2, 195 pounds) received an offer earlier this month from Division I-AA Tennessee State, where former Leto coach Jerrell Cogmon is an assistant.
Simpson ran for 799 yards and five touchdowns on 139 carries as a junior. This year, he'll be tutored by former Jesuit and Hillsborough standout TB Mo Harris, a former Plant and Tampa Bay Tech assistant who joins Kitchie's staff as running backs coach.
