Count Florida among the dozen-plus Division I programs to make a scholarship offer to prolific Plant shooting guard Michael Frazier.

Following his pre-dawn workout with his dad Thursday at the Harbour Island Athletic Club, Frazier confirmed Gators coach Billy Donovan recently made a verbal offer.

The others: Georgia, Harvard, Oregon State, Michigan, Arkansas, Alabama, Miami, UCF, USF, FSU, Virginia Tech, Ohio University and Bethune-Cookman. Stanford, South Carolina, Ole Miss and Indiana are among those who have shown "major interest," Panthers coach Mike Phillips said.

Frazier (6-foot-4, 185 pounds), recently named the nation's 48th-best prospect in his class by Scout.com, became the first boys player in Hillsborough County history to eclipse the 1,000-point mark as a sophomore. Armed with dead-eye long-range accuracy, he owns a 4.0 GPA.

He has no college favorites at this point. "I'm just open to everybody right now," he said.
