Call Hawaii Five-O. A larceny has been reported at the nearby college football program.
More specifically, they're lauding Plant High speedster Allen Sampson as a steal for the University of Hawaii, with whom he signed last Wednesday. This from Warriors quarterbacks coach Nick Rolovich (courtesty of the Honolulu Adverstiser):
"Sampson is that quick, make-a-guy-miss-type slot we've had success with in the past. I know his size is not the biggest, but he's built really well. He'll make some plays for us in the future. ...
"People will first notice (Sampson) has world-class speed. But his personality and the person he is will make him a great teammate. He's going to make an immediate impact on our kick return. We have to try to get the ball in his hands to make something happen."
As a Plant senior, Sampson averaged 37.4 yards per kick return and 11.3 yards per punt return. He also had 39 catches for 671 yards and eight TDs.
