UMass offers Countryside's Mike Love

The latest: Love was offered this past week by UMass, which has been recruiting heavily in the area.

Offers: Alabama-Birmingham, Iowa State, Louisville, Massachusetts and Ohio.

Last season: The Times’ defensive player of the year for Pinellas County, Love registered 15.5 sacks as a defensive end and helped the Cougars go undefeated in the regular season for the second straight year.

They say: None of the recruiting services has Love ranked as a prospect.
