Lakewood junior defensive end Dante Fowler is primed to be one of Tampa Bay's top 5 recruits for 2012, and he has the offers to back that up.
That list includes Florida, where Fowler has excelled in seemingly every camp he's been to at Gainesville, including the recent Friday Night Lights and a NIKE camp in April where he earned defensive MVP honors despite being an underclassman.
The Gators offered Fowler, a 6-3, 220-pound pass rushing specialist, but Lakewood coach Cory Moore said Friday Florida coach Urban Meyer "re-iterated" they want Fowler badly. Fowler said recently Tennessee is probably his early favorite, but there is a long way to go until Signing Day, 2012.
