Wharton WR Auden Tate picked up his first college offer Friday, from USF, he announced via Twitter.

Tate, a 6-foot-4, 195-pound junior, has already drawn blue-chip reviews as a prospect for the class of 2015.

He ranks ninth in Tampa Bay with 461 receiving yards on 29 catches. He’s also caught four touchdowns – including a diving 35-yarder last week against Steinbrenner.

Tate has also received interest from Akron and Western Kentucky, among others.

Wharton (6-1) hosts Alonso tonight.
