Plant volleyball player Maddie Martin is a finalist for this year’s PrepVolleyball.com National Player of the Year Award.

Martin, who has received numerous postseason honors this season, was named to the ESPNRise All-American first team earlier this week. She was also the MVP of the Under Armour All-America match last month and was named Gatorade Florida state player of the year.

Also, Berkeley Prep’s Jordan Burgess and Mackenzie Dagostino, as well as Lakewood’s Berkley Whaley, were named finalists for the PrepVolleyball.com Sophomore of the Year award.

Also, Plant senior Becca Howard is one of 56 setters who are finalists for the PrepVolleyball.com Andi Collins Setter of the Year award. The award is named after Collins, a setter from Orange County, Calif., who died of cancer at 16 in 2003 and is given annually to the nation’s top senior setter.

Winners will be announced by the end of this month.
