Plant senior Maddie Martin finished a close second in the voting for this year's Florida Dairy Farmers Miss Volleyball award.

Martin, a Penn State recruit who will play in this weekend's Under Armour All-America match at the St. Pete Times Forum Sunday at 1 p.m., was the Class 6A Player of the Year.

Martin County senior middle hitter Elise Walch, a Wisconsin recruit and the Class 5A state player of the year, edged Martin 119-101 for the award.

Berkeley Prep outside hitter Jordan Burgess finished fourth in the voting behind Walch, Martin and Jensen Beach setter Sarah Wickstrom, a Florida State commit.

Plant coach Leanna Taylor also finished second in Florida Dairy Farmers Coach of the Year voting behind Martin County's Marty Bielicki. Berkeley's Randy Dagostino finished third.
