It's already a few weeks into the season and Wesley Chapel is searching for a new boys soccer coach.

Athletic director Mike Rogers said the teacher who had planned to take over after Brian Dorkowski resigned last year accepted a teaching position elsewhere about a month ago.

"That really left us in a pickle," Rogers said.

The school has advertised the position on the district employment website and through the Florida High School Athletic Association. The Wildcats need someone with energy for the sport, knowledge and experience coaching soccer, Rogers said.

"It's difficult to find that, with the season started," he said.
