Wes Stearns, a key member of last year’s state championship swimming and diving squad at Palm Harbor University, is in the thick of the recruiting process.

Stearns, a 3A champion in the 200 freestyle and runnerup in the 500 free, already has taken official visits to Florida and Harvard. Additionally, he plans on visiting Ohio State, Princeton and Virginia.

At the USA Swimming Junior Nationals earlier this year, Stearns was a top-16 finalist in the men’s 400 free and was 14th with a time of 3:59.14. He also posted top-20 finishes in both the 1,500 free and 800 free.
