In an ongoing effort to find on-campus coaches, Wesley Chapel has hired Amy Seidl to be its next volleyball coach.
Seidl, who was recently hired to teach social studies, played volleyball and basketball at Alma (Mich.) College where she majored in social studies and history. She later became an assistant volleyball coach at her alma mater and was an assistant JV basketball coach at Croswell-Lexington High for one season.
Seidl was unavailable for comment, principal Carin Nettles said.
She replaces former Wildcats coach Perri Hankins, who had once been an assistant for a pair of national championship teams at University of Pacific. She also turned USF's program into a perennial NCAA tournament.
