Wesley Chapel has lost another high-profile athlete after Davon Henry transferred this summer, Wildcats coach Ben Alford said.

“He’s not here,” Alford said Monday morning.

Rivals.com’s Chris Nee reported on his Twitter account that Henry had transferred to Freedom, which Alford confirmed.

Henry was Wesley Chapel’s leading receiver (20 catches, 302 yards) and second-leading rusher (111 carries, 479 yards) as a junior. The 5-foot-9, 165-pound athlete received a scholarship offer from FCS program Bryant University in the spring.

The Wildcats also lost quarterback Alex McGough after he transferred to Gaither.

Alford said junior athlete DeQuane Anderson will likely see more playing time because of Henry’s departure.
