Wesley Chapel's Mattear to sign with Ridgewater

Wesley Chapel DB Chris Mattear will sign with Ridgewater College in Minnesota, Wildcats coach Ben Alford said Tuesday morning.

Mattear had two interceptions for 95 return yards and three passes defended for the Wildcats last fall. Mattear, a 6-foot-3, 175-pound senior, also ranked fourth on the team with 45 tackles. He also scored a touchdown.

He’ll be the 10^th Wildcat to sign to play college football from Wesley Chapel’s 5-5 team.
