Western Kentucky has been one of the most active colleges in the country when it comes to recruiting Tampa Bay, and the Hilltoppers now want Countryside's Alex Dixon as well.

Dixon, a 6-foot-1, 180-pound defensive back, said Friday that the Hilltoppers have made him an offer, joining Clemson, Nebraska, North Carolina, West Virginia, Kentucky, Florida State and USF.

One of the top 10 recruits for 2011 in Tampa Bay, Dixon is expecting more visits from colleges during the upcoming spring evaluation period. The Cougars open up practice today.
